Many patients come in on their own for issues like pain, stress, sleep problems, or recovery after injury. If you are currently under medical care, acupuncture can often be used alongside your existing treatment plan, but a referral is not required to get started.

Your first visit includes a detailed intake and your initial treatment. We’ll go through your health history, current symptoms, and goals so the treatment can be tailored specifically to you. The acupuncture session itself is typically very relaxing, and many patients notice a sense of calm or relief during or after the visit. You’ll also have time to ask questions and understand what a treatment plan may look like based on your condition.

Initial visits are 90 minutes to allow time for a full intake and treatment. Follow-up sessions are typically 60 minutes and are more focused on ongoing care. Each appointment includes time for discussion, treatment, and a rest period with the needles in place.
